is a Chicago based collector of unusual folklore and ghostlore. He was a founding member of Ivan T. Sanderson's Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained (SITU) and belongs to the International Fortean Organization (INFO), the Merry Gangsters Literary Society and many  other specialist groups. Mr. Crowe has both a BA and an MA in English Literature from DePaul University and organized the very first Chicago Ghost Tour for DePaul's Geographical Society while finishing his studies there in 1973.

Crowe now has a business that consists of day and evening bus tours, summer boat cruises, lectures, theme parties, and out of state weekend trips -- but everything he does revolves around ghosts, the supernatural, the unexplained!

Pursuing ghostlore and folklore, Crowe has visited Ireland (12 times), England (6 times), Scotland, Yugoslavia (twice), Jamaica, Mexico and many partsa of the US. In May of 1997, Crowe toured Hong Kong, Macau and South China just before the return of Hong Kong to the PRC. He then returned to Chicago to create his Supernatural Chinatown package: lunch in a haunted restaurant, slide talk and two hour walking tour. Among his new discoveries was a block in Chinatown with four hauntings!

Crowe is a member of the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau (CCTB), the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and the Chinatown Chamber of Commerce. 

As the original full-time professional ghost hunter in the Midwest, Crowe is very popular on the TV and radio talk show circuit. He has appeared on ABC-TV's "That's Incredible!", NBC's "Unsolved Mysteries", "Oprah", and "The Gordon Elliott Show". He was a consultant on and appeared in Yorkshire (England) TV's "Arthur C. Clarke's World of Strange Powers". He is well known for countless interviews with radio's "Chicago Ed" Schwartz and is regularly interviewed by the national and international news media.
